As John prayed, Mark could sense a heat flowing into is wrist. The wrist felt better but not totally healed. Mark went home a little disappointed but over the next few days the wrist continued to get stronger and stronger and was totally healed. A few months later John visited the same place again and Mark came back for more prayer, this time for his asthma. Nothing special happened during prayer this time but Mark kept trusting Jesus for his healing. That night as he went to bed he got asthma and felt rather disappointed. However, over a period of time the asthma started to disappear and Mark needed less and less medication and today he is totally healed.

He came for prayer on a number of occasions over this year, but didn’t receive an instant healing, but was encouraged to keep believing that he would receive his health. Each day Ben prayed for and thanked God for complete health. In the last 8 weeks Ben started to get better and better to the point that he stopped taking his medication, Endep, that was to help his muscles to relax and give him better sleep at night. Each morning he now wakes up with more energy and joy in his life than he could ever imagine. God has restored to him the life that had been robbed from him over the time he was ill. « Close

Despite his handicap, he maintained his interest in sailing and was the current World Blind Sailing Champion and had been the Blind Sailor of the Year on three occasions. Paul came along to one of John’s healing meetings and went up for prayer. John prayed for him and when Paul opened his eyes he could see the colour of John’s shirt. That was the first time he’d been able to see colour in 3 years. John prayed for Paul a second time and he could see the stripes on John’s shirt and make out the features on his face. Each time he was prayed for, his site improved. Paul’s eyes had been crooked and dead in appearance, but after prayer they became straight and clear. Jesus ruined Paul’s career as a blind sailor and also confused Paul’s guide dog! Friends and relatives were amazed at the change. Alan surrendered his life to Jesus that night and it was the most amazing awesome thing he had ever felt in his life as God’s power touched him. He sensed angels all around him. ‘My past life didn’t amount to much, I was an alcoholic, a drug addict and I was in and out of jail. I was just a lost soul, searching for something.’ The alcoholism and drug addiction left Alan that night and also his arthritis was healed over a period of time. Alan’s life has totally changed from the inside out. « Close

Frances had had a brain tumour for three years and despite having three operations it kept coming back. The last time she came she was deciding whether to go in for another operation because it was about the size of an egg and pressing on to the back of her eye. She also had back problems as a result of a fall about three years ago and was on morphine for that because the pain was so bad and the doctors couldn’t do anything for her. She needed a stick to help her walk.

One Wednesday night there were letters delivered to the houses saying that John was coming to the church and because Anne is a born-again-Christian she said to her friend: “There’s a healing service on Friday, do you want to go?” and she agreed. Anne had never been to a healing service but had heard about them and believed that the Lord can heal so they went along. Mary got up on the stage and John prayed for her and the pain in her back went. Before that she had been sitting on the seat and going from side to side because it was so painful just to sit there – she couldn’t sit for very long. She couldn’t lie on her back for any length of time – if at all. After John had prayed for her she put her stick in her bag and she was sitting on the pew (you know how hard pews are) and she was wriggling and couldn’t believe the pain had gone! She was wriggling about just to see if the pain was back and it hadn’t come back. John prayed for her a few times after that for the brain tumour that she had.

Mary was going home the next day; that night when she was getting in and out of the car it was as if she was two years old compared to the way she was when they were driving up to the meeting and the next day the pain still wasn’t there! She was absolutely DELIGHTED. She went home to Wales and Anne phoned her up to see how she was doing and the pain still hadn’t returned. She hadn’t been for her scan yet to see about her tumour – she had to go to see if the tumour was still there because she had to decide if she was going in for another operation. About a fortnight later Mary phoned Anne up in tears; the scan had come back and there was no tumour – no sign of a tumour whatsoever. The doctor said they would do a second scan just in case they hadn’t seen it (even though it had been the size of an egg!) – there was no doubt whatsoever that there had been an egg-sized tumour before she received prayer.

She had the second scan done and was called up to the surgery to discuss the results. The doctor said “Sorry, but we can’t find a tumour anywhere!” They tried to explain it away by saying that she had been on chemotherapy – but the fact is that she had been receiving chemo for a long time and the tumour just kept increasing in size – and the doctors confirmed this. Mary still wasn’t convinced so asked for a full body scan – because tumours can move about your body. The scan revealed that there is absolutely nothing there! She still wasn’t convinced so asked for it in writing because her family wouldn’t believe her that the tumour had gone. Her back is still ok – in fact she was getting withdrawal symptoms because she’s off the morphine now and she’s starting to accept that she actually has a life now! She is over the moon! Mary still has epilepsy because of the operations she had to remove the tumour but it is something she can deal with and the medication helps that and it’s not life threatening. She has taken up a new hobby – gardening. She says it’s amazing – she couldn’t even get down to the ground before, let alone put plants in. Mary Frances is 50 years old.
